Policy changelog

This page records changes to our terms of service, privacy policy, community guidelines, and related policies. Current versions are linked in the footer.

November 3, 2026

  • Section 3.1 of the Operator Pass terms says your wall name and avatar show as soon as you choose them. We can still take one off and tell you why.
  • Section 11 of the Operator Pass terms says a pass you pass on moves as soon as the other person accepts it, with no waiting period after you pay.
  • The Operator Pass privacy notice says the waitlist is closed, and the privacy policy doesn't list the pass_followup cookie, which our website doesn't set.

November 1, 2026

  • The Operator Pass terms are no longer a draft. They take effect on November 1, 2026, before sales open, and apply to every pass you buy.
  • Section 8 of the terms of service says that for consumers outside the EU and the EEA, the law where they live governs withdrawal, refunds, purchase information, claims about faulty purchases and unfair terms, and Swedish law governs the rest. This applies to purchases made from November 1, 2026. Earlier purchases and their renewals keep the terms in force when they were made.
  • Section 8 of the terms of service also says that our choice of Swedish law doesn't deprive any consumer, wherever they live, of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of their country. Before, it said this only for consumers in the EU and the EEA. This change takes effect on November 1, 2026.
  • Section 8 of the terms of service says that a consumer in the EU or the EEA who can't settle a complaint about a purchase with us can take it to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), and gives its postal address and website. The out-of-court route in section 6.2 is for our moderation decisions.
  • Sections 8 and 14 of the Operator Pass terms say the same about ARN. The consumer disputes section of our company information page covers complaints about Plutonium and the Operator Pass from consumers in the EU and the EEA, and it no longer says that we take part in ARN's proceedings in those disputes.
  • Section 1 of the terms of service says that where the separate terms for a purchase or feature, such as the Operator Pass, differ from the terms of service, those separate terms apply to what they cover. Effective November 1, 2026.
  • Section 2.1 of the terms of service gives examples of valid reasons for changing Plutonium and other paid features, such as a change in the law, a security problem or new technology. This only adds information to the terms.
  • Section 4.1 of the terms of service no longer calls Plutonium "DRM-free digital content" and says that it adds features to your account.
  • Section 4.3 of the terms of service gives consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK 14 days from the payment to withdraw from a new Plutonium subscription, a plan switch or a gift, not a renewal, and you pay for the days you had Plutonium, except for an unredeemed gift. This applies to purchases from November 1, 2026, and earlier purchases each keep the rule that they were bought under.
  • Section 4.3 gives consumers in Brazil until 23:59 Acre time on the 7th day after the payment to withdraw from a Plutonium purchase, including a gift, with a full refund paid right away. For a subscription, that covers the first payment and a plan switch, but not automatic renewals. Effective November 1, 2026.
  • Under section 4.3, a Plutonium purchase for a company whose CNPJ you give at checkout has no such right, unless Brazilian law treats it as a consumer.
  • Section 4.3 also says that outside the EU, the EEA, the UK and Brazil, any right of withdrawal comes from the law where you live. It describes the "Withdraw from contract here" button that is next to a purchase on the Plutonium page in "User settings" and has a model withdrawal form you can use.
  • Section 4.3 covers Plutonium you pay for on the web or in the desktop app. You withdraw from a Google Play purchase under Google's terms, and a Google Play purchase made before November 1, 2026 keeps the rule it was bought under.
  • Section 4.4 of the terms of service says that when our payment provider flags a payment as likely fraudulent, we refund it in full and end only what it paid for, and the account can't make new purchases until a person on our team has looked at it. A flagged Operator Pass payment doesn't limit the account, as section 9 of its terms says. Section 9 of the community guidelines lists both.
  • Section 6.2 of the terms of service says that taking a moderation dispute to a certified out-of-court body is our own commitment, because the DSA doesn't require it of a company our size. The route itself works as before.
  • Section 10 of the terms of service no longer has a sentence about our UK Online Safety Act assessments. This doesn't change any of your rights.
  • Section 12 of the terms of service and section 1 of the Operator Pass terms say that our registered office (säte) is in Haninge. Nothing else changed.
  • The Operator Pass terms use plainer words for what comes with the pass and how we can change it, in sections 1, 3, 5, 8 and 9. Section 3.1 says more plainly that your badge and passes stay when we decline a wall name or avatar.
  • The Operator Pass terms say the legal and accounting reasons for some rules more plainly, and section 2 says more plainly which moment we treat as the delivery of your certificate. None of this changes anything in substance.
  • Section 3 of the Operator Pass terms says the pass comes with a place in Fluxer Labs. We add you when we deliver your certificate or when a pass passed on to you arrives, and never again after you leave or are removed.
  • Section 11 of the Operator Pass terms says you can take back a Pass it on offer until the pass moves, even after the other person accepts. Sections 2 and 13 say the pass that comes with Visionary ends if your Visionary ends, and its certificate page then shows as canceled. Both describe how the pass works today.
  • Sections 3, 5 and 14 of the Operator Pass terms say that we email you a reasonable time ahead of a change that leaves you worse off or before we close the official Fluxer service. Before, the terms said at least 30 days.
  • Section 12 of the Operator Pass terms says that the Brazilian withdrawal period ends at 23:59 Acre time (UTC-5) on the 7th day after delivery, and that it doesn't cover a purchase for a company whose CNPJ you enter at checkout. Section 14 says that the Portuguese version applies when the Brazil rule does.
  • Section 2.1 of the privacy policy says that for a business purchase in Brazil, we keep the CNPJ you give at checkout and record it at Stripe, so that we can record whether a right of withdrawal applies. Section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says the same for the pass, and both describe existing practice.
  • Section 3.1 of the privacy policy lists protecting children among our legitimate interests. Section 4.3 says that when a person on our team confirms reported child sexual abuse material, we report it to NCMEC's CyberTipline, with what the report contains and our legal basis, and section 14 says these reports are not legal requests. Section 4 of the community guidelines mentions them.
  • Section 4.2 of the privacy policy says that we create our own invoices, receipts and credit notes, and that payment processors handle your payments and work out the tax. Stripe uses payment details as an independent controller for its own fraud prevention, security and legal duties, and emails you when your bank asks you to confirm a renewal. This describes existing practice.
  • For Pix in Brazil, section 4.2 says that Stripe's partner EBANX processes the payment, appears as the recipient on your bank statement, emails you a receipt and is also an independent controller of payment details.
  • Section 4.2 also says that if you turn on push notifications on iOS, or in older versions of our Android app, Apple or Google receive each notification so they can show it, and that notifications to browsers and current versions of our Android app are encrypted so the push service can't see what they say.
  • Section 5 of the privacy policy says that rules written by people on our team, based on real abuse they have seen, flag likely spam and scam activity for a person on our team to look into. It also says how long we keep the audit log that records staff access to the content we store. Effective November 1, 2026.
  • Section 5 also says that in limited cases, our automated protections limit an account that is very likely spam until a person on our team reviews it, and that you can reply, appeal or ask for a person on our team to review the decision.
  • Section 6 of the privacy policy links to our help article on hosting.
  • Section 7.3 of the privacy policy says what we keep after you delete your account. Section 7.4 says how long we keep support conversations and attachments, and it describes our billing email records apart from payment records.
  • Section 7.4 also says what we keep when you withdraw from a Plutonium purchase, and that we don't store the name you type to withdraw.
  • Section 10.1 of the privacy policy lists your rights under Brazil's data protection law (LGPD) and says you can write to us about them in Portuguese.
  • Section 12 of the privacy policy lists the strictly necessary pass_followup cookie, which our marketing site sets for 30 minutes when you join the Operator Pass waitlist with JavaScript turned off. This describes existing practice.
  • Section 17 of the privacy policy lists the contents of messages you send to other people as sensitive personal information under California law.
  • Section 2.4 of the privacy policy and section 1 of the Operator Pass privacy notice cover people who receive a passed-on pass, Visionaries who turn on their pass and anyone who leaves or is removed from Fluxer Labs.
  • Section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says how long we keep the record of a Visionary turning on their pass. We delete the IP address and browser details after 2 years and the rest of the record when the account is deleted.
  • Section 5 also says that when you withdraw from a pass, we keep the name you typed, when we received the withdrawal and how you sent it.
  • Section 6 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says what we record so that we never add you to Fluxer Labs again after you leave, how far back that record goes, and that we welcome you in #operators unless you turn the welcome off.
  • The company information page lists our Norwegian VAT registration (VOEC 3058085) and @fluxer on social.fluxer.com among our official accounts.
  • The company information page also says that the English or Swedish language choice in the DSA contact section is for authorities, and that users with DSA questions can write to support in any language. Nothing changed for users.
  • We reworded the terms of service more plainly. They still say the same.
  • We reworded the privacy policy in plainer words and put some of its longer lists in bullet points. What it says hasn't changed in any way.
  • We reworded the community guidelines in plainer words and put some of their longer lists in bullet points. What they say hasn't changed.
  • We reworded the Operator Pass terms more plainly. They still say the same.
  • We made the Operator Pass privacy notice plainer. It says the same.
  • We reworded the Fluxer Feedback privacy notice. It says the same.
  • We reworded the push relay notice in plainer words and put the list of what we record in bullet points. What it says hasn't changed.
  • We reworded our security policy more plainly. It still says the same.
  • We reworded the company information page in plainer words and shortened the part about Reddit. Our contact details and company details haven't changed.
  • We shortened and reworded our AI stance page. It says the same.
  • We reordered sentences in the terms of service, the privacy policy, the community guidelines and the Fluxer Feedback privacy notice so that each one states its condition or limit first. They still say the same thing as before.
  • Section 17 of the privacy policy lists notification contents among the information that goes to the providers in section 4, as section 4 already says.

October 27, 2026

  • Section 2 of the draft Operator Pass terms describes the numbered Operator certificate, with the name you choose at checkout and the date you paid, delivered as a PDF file that you keep and can download again in your settings.
  • Section 2 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that if someone whose name you put on a certificate page objects to it and the objection succeeds, as the Operator Pass privacy notice describes, we ask you for another name and give you a new copy of that page with the same number and date of payment.
  • Section 3 of the draft Operator Pass terms says the pass also comes with the Operator badge, the Operators' wall, the Operator role and #operators, early testing, Pass it on, the yearly Operators list, the instance mark and the inactivity exemption. We can change how they look and where they show at any time.
  • Section 11 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that section 3 applies to Pass it on. You can pass a pass on to a friend's Fluxer account, and the certificate page for that pass stays exactly as it was printed when you bought it.
  • Section 3 of the draft Operator Pass terms also says that we change how something that comes with the pass works, or end it for everyone, only for a good reason. If that makes it more than a little worse for you or ends it, we email you at least 30 days before and tell you about any right the law gives you to end your purchase.
  • Section 3 of the draft Operator Pass terms gives no refund when what comes with the pass changes or ends, unless your local law gives you one.
  • Section 3 of the draft Operator Pass terms also lists a new copy of your certificate after a name change, with the same number and date, among the things that come with the pass. You can ask for it through our support route.
  • Section 5 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that your certificate is a file you keep, that what comes with the pass has no set length and that you pay once.
  • Section 7.1 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that checkout asks you to have your certificate delivered right away and to confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal once it's delivered, and that you can withdraw until then.
  • Section 7.2 of the draft Operator Pass terms has the full model withdrawal form, with lines for your address and for a signature when you send it on paper. You can still withdraw by any other clear statement instead.
  • Section 9 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that a dispute about a change to what comes with the pass or a removal under section 8 never leads to any action against your Fluxer account beyond pausing the pass and blocking new purchases while the dispute is open, though we may still contest it with your bank.
  • Section 9 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that if an unjustified dispute ends with the money returned to you, the passes it paid for end, we permanently remove what comes with the pass, and the account can't buy or receive a pass again.
  • Section 8 of the draft Operator Pass terms calls that case a serious breach.
  • Section 8 of the draft Operator Pass terms takes you off the Operators' wall for good only when we permanently remove what comes with the pass under it.
  • Section 2 and section 11 of the draft Operator Pass terms say that you can download each certificate page as its own PDF file in your settings, so a page with a friend's name can go to that friend alone, without the other names in the purchase.
  • Section 3.1 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that the wall shows the word "Operator" and the default avatar until we approve the name and avatar you chose, and never shows your username in their place while it waits.
  • Section 3.1 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that while we look into a report or a possible breach about your listing, we can take it off the wall until we decide. Your badge and passes stay, and we tell you why and how to appeal.
  • Section 7.3 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that purchases are final once your certificate is delivered, except where the law where you live gives you a right that can't be given up, and that your statutory rights are not affected.
  • Section 14 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that the English version applies to the extent the law allows when we provide a translation.
  • Section 14 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that a change for the worse applies to a pass you already have only for a valid reason, such as a change in the law, a security or abuse problem or a change in how Fluxer works, and at least 30 days after we email you. It never reduces what Visionaries keep.
  • Section 4 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that during the early bird phase, the pass page and checkout show the early bird price, the last day it applies and the standard price that applies after that, before you pay.
  • Section 3 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that the same things come with the pass for every Operator, except that the number of passes you have sets the number on your badge and your size and place on the Operators' wall, and nothing else. More passes give no extra access, support or priority.
  • Section 13 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that Visionaries can read and post in #operators in Fluxer Labs whether or not they turn on the pass that comes with Visionary, with no deadline to turn it on. If we close #operators, Visionaries keep their own channel in Fluxer Labs for talking about self-hosting.
  • Section 13 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that you choose the name on the certificate for the pass that comes with Visionary when you turn it on, and that its page shows the date you got Visionary instead of a payment date.
  • Section 3 and section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice say that the pass that comes with Visionary is ordered on the wall by the date you got Visionary, and they list the records we keep when you turn that pass on.
  • Section 8 of the draft Operator Pass terms, on when we remove what comes with the pass, isn't one of the rules that we can change or end under section 3. It changes only as section 14 describes, like the rest of the terms.
  • Section 2 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that checkout checks the names before you pay and turns down a name that has words we don't allow in display names or that looks like it comes from Fluxer, our team or another brand.
  • Section 2 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that if you buy for your business, you can put your company name on the certificate. The certificate shows that you supported Fluxer and doesn't mean we endorse you or your business.
  • Section 2, section 7.1, section 9 and section 12 of the draft Operator Pass terms say that when you withdraw from a pass, or its payment is refunded or reversed, its certificate page is canceled and left out of the download in your settings.
  • Section 6 of the draft Operator Pass terms is new. If your certificate file is damaged, or shows something different from what you typed or paid for because of a mistake on our side, we send you a corrected copy with the same number and date.
  • Section 8 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that removing what comes with the pass, for a limited time or for good, never cancels your certificate.
  • Section 2 and section 10 of the draft Operator Pass terms say that the certificate is in English and that we delete the copy of your certificate in your settings when your account is deleted, so keep your own copy and download it first.
  • Section 12 of the draft Operator Pass terms keeps the 7 days from delivery that Brazilian law gives consumers with a billing address in Brazil or who pay in Brazilian reais. Every Brazilian purchase counts as a consumer purchase, even one made for a business, because checkout can't take a Brazilian CNPJ.
  • Section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice describes what we keep for the Operator certificate and for how long. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says that when someone whose name you put on a certificate page objects successfully, we give you a new copy with another name you choose and delete that person's name and the PDF file of every earlier copy of the page. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 3 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says that showing your listing on the Operators' wall rests on our legitimate interest. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 3 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says that the wall shows the word "Operator" and the default avatar until we approve your name and avatar, and never shows a name or avatar we haven't approved. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice describes the record of your choices from checkout and why we keep it. The box texts, the time and the terms version are kept with the payment records. Your IP address and browser details rest on our legitimate interest, you can object, and we delete them 2 years after the payment unless a payment dispute is still open. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says that creating your certificate rests on contract necessity, and that keeping a copy for you to download again rests on our legitimate interest. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says that the record of your choices at checkout includes the time when you confirmed that you're 18 or older or have a parent's or guardian's permission, and that we keep that time with the payment records, like the box texts and the terms version. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 7.3 of the privacy policy links to section 3 of the Operator Pass terms for when accounts with an Operator Pass are not deleted for inactivity, and section 2.4 mentions people who buy a pass. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • We reworded the sentence in section 6.2 of the terms that links to the Operator Pass terms. Nothing changed in substance. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 4 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says that our records of wall decisions stay linked to your account while you still have a pass, even after you leave the Operators' wall. Once you have no pass left or have deleted your account, and 60 days have passed since you left the wall, we remove your account identifier from those records of our decisions. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says that we keep the name and PDF file of a canceled certificate page as evidence in case the payment is disputed, under our legitimate interest. We delete them 2 years after the payment, or once any open payment dispute about the purchase has ended if that's later, and sooner if your account is deleted first. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 1 of the Operator Pass privacy notice and section 2.4 of the privacy policy say that the notice also covers people whose name a buyer puts on an Operator certificate, for example for a gift. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 14 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that changing or ending something that comes with the pass under section 3 isn't a change to these terms. Section 3 has its own rules for that, such as an email at least 30 days before it ends.
  • Section 14 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that if you're a consumer and can't settle a complaint about the pass with us, you can take it to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). It gives ARN's postal address and website.
  • Section 3 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that the Operator role doesn't let you post in any channel where other members can't post.
  • Section 11 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that the sections on what comes with the pass, how long the pass lasts, removals and deleting your account apply to whoever has a passed-on pass, as if they had bought it themselves.
  • Section 7.1 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that if our emails to your account's address bounce, so that we can't send you the confirmation, we don't create the certificate and refund the whole payment to the payment method you used, and you can buy a pass again once our emails to your address go through.
  • Section 7.1 and section 12 of the draft Operator Pass terms say that after you withdraw, we send you an email to confirm that we received your withdrawal.
  • Section 7.4 of the privacy policy links to section 5 of the Operator Pass privacy notice for how long we keep the names and PDF files of Operator certificates and the record of your choices at checkout. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • Section 8 of the privacy policy says that a data export includes the pages of any Operator certificate we keep for you, as PDF files. Effective October 27, 2026.
  • The company information page gives the board's seat and a phone number you can call about legal and consumer-law matters. Effective October 27, 2026.

October 26, 2026

  • The draft Operator Pass terms now count valid passes held plus valid purchases passed on for the badge and wall, separately from actual ownership.
  • A pass counts once per account and can count for both buyer and recipient. Keeping at least one active pass is still required. The terms explain delivery dates, pauses, ended passes, business listings and the dates on badges.
  • The Operator Pass privacy notice explains the count and its records.

October 25, 2026

  • Section 8 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that using the Operator role or badge to talk down to others or to claim authority over them is misuse.

October 24, 2026

  • Section 3.2 of the draft Operator Pass terms lets a business that bought passes ask us to list its company name and logo on the Operators' wall instead of a name and avatar. It says how to ask, how these listings look, when we can decline or end one, what the business lets us do with its logo and how to switch back.
  • Section 11 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that you can pass a pass on only to an account that is your friend on Fluxer when you offer the pass and when they accept it. Section 4 says the same for a business and its staff.
  • Section 3 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says that it covers the company name and logo of a business listing the same way as a name and avatar, including the versions we make for the wall. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 3.4 of the terms says that we always tell the affected user when we remove or restrict material because of a copyright claim, and that they can appeal that decision as section 6.2 describes. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4 and section 6.2 of the terms link to the Operator Pass terms for the pass itself and for removing what comes with it. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.1 of the terms says that you keep your subscription price while your subscription stays active and renews without a break. It no longer says the subscription also has to be in good standing. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.1 and section 4.2 of the terms apply to Plutonium that you buy in our iOS app through the App Store or in our Android app through Google Play. Apple or Google bills and renews these purchases under its own terms, and you manage or cancel them in your Apple or Google account. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.2 also says that the 3-day self-service refund applies to purchases that you pay for through Stripe or Google Play, and that you find it on the Plutonium page in "User settings". A gift bought through Google Play can only be refunded this way before someone redeems it. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.2 also says that Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases under its own terms, and that you can also ask Google for a refund of a Google Play purchase, which Google handles under its own terms. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.3 of the terms says that if you are a consumer in the EU or the EEA, you keep your right to withdraw from a Plutonium purchase, including a gift, after Plutonium starts and get a full refund. The period ends at the end of the 14th day after the payment, or the next working day. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.3 also says that business buyers still get the 3-day self-service refund in section 4.2. When a "Withdraw from contract here" button appears next to one of your purchases in "User settings", you can withdraw with it, and we send you an email to confirm your withdrawal. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.3 also says that you withdraw from an App Store purchase through Apple's refund process, and Apple refunds you. If you send it to us instead, we accept it and point you to Apple's process. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.4 of the terms says that Plutonium keeps working while a payment dispute is open, and that a person on our team checks every dispute. A Plutonium payment dispute can lead to enforcement action only if it is fraudulent or in bad faith and meets every condition in section 4.4. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.4 also says a genuine dispute about an incorrect or unauthorized charge never leads to enforcement action. If our payment provider warns us a payment was likely fraudulent, we refund it in full. Section 9 of the Operator Pass terms applies to Operator Pass payment disputes. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 6.2 of the terms says that the limits in section 4.4 apply when we remove or restrict something to protect payments. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.1 of the privacy policy describes every way to create an account, with an email address or with only a display name, and says that an account started with only a display name can add an email later. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.1 of the privacy policy also says that we no longer offer the credit card check that unlocked age-restricted content in the United Kingdom, that accounts that passed it keep a record that they are 18 or older and that we removed the cards saved only for the check from Stripe. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.1 also describes the company name, address and VAT ID that we keep when you buy for a business, and our VAT ID checks with the European Commission's VAT Information Exchange System (VIES), which send the ID to the Commission and the tax authority that issued it. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.1 also describes the country we record when someone redeems a gift code that was paid for, which VAT law requires. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.1 and section 4.2 of the privacy policy say what we exchange with Apple or Google when you buy Plutonium through the App Store or Google Play, and that their own privacy policies apply to the payment. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.2 of the privacy policy says that Fluxer uses no third-party analytics or advertising services, and that crash and performance reports from the iOS and Android apps go only to servers that we run. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.2 also says that the iOS and Android apps send us crash and performance reports only if you turn on "Send crash and performance reports" under "Advanced" in settings, a setting that is off by default. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.2 also says what a crash or performance report includes and what it leaves out, and that these reports come to us even when you are signed in to an instance that we do not operate. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2.2 also says that the app sends us a report about each peer-to-peer connection that you make. It says what each report includes and that we delete each of these reports after 180 days. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 3.2 of the privacy policy lists working out where VAT is due as one of the uses of approximate location. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.1 of the privacy policy says that in a peer-to-peer call your audio and video go directly between you and the other people in the call, and those people can see your IP address. The app asks you to agree before you join a peer-to-peer call, unless you have chosen to always agree. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.2 of the privacy policy says that our payment processors also create our invoices and credit notes and send some payment emails for us, and that our email provider, which is hosted in the European Union, sends receipts and other billing emails with their invoices attached. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 6 of the privacy policy says that crash and performance reports from the iOS and Android apps are stored separately, on servers that we run ourselves at Hetzner in Finland, in the European Union. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 7.3 of the privacy policy says that, like Operator Pass accounts, Visionary accounts are never deleted for inactivity. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 7.4 of the privacy policy says that we keep crash and performance reports from the iOS and Android apps for 30 days. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 7.4 also says that payment records include invoices, credit notes, the result of any VAT ID check and records of the billing emails we send you, which never include the email itself. We delete records of billing emails sooner than other payment records, 3 years after we send them, or 1 year after the subscription they belong to ends if that is later. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 7.4 also says that we delete the content we copied for a report at most 1 year after the report was filed, even if we haven't finished handling the report by then. We keep the record of the report itself as one of our records of the enforcement decisions we make. It says what kind of report it was, which accounts and items it was about and what we decided. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 12 of the privacy policy gives the correct name of the language cookie on our marketing site, locale. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 3 of the community guidelines says that apart from where the law requires it, we report terrorist content to law enforcement only where it is necessary to protect people from serious harm. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 9 of the community guidelines says that a person on our team makes every decision to suspend or ban an account, remove a community, or permanently delete messages. It also describes what our automated spam and abuse defenses can do on their own and how each limit is lifted. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • We published the Operator Pass terms as a draft. They aren't in effect yet. They take effect when sales of the pass open, and we may change them before then.
  • The Operator Pass terms say what the pass includes and what it does not, how buying as a consumer or for a business works, when the right of withdrawal applies and when it ends and when we remove what comes with a pass.
  • They also say how we handle a payment dispute about a pass, how to pass a pass on to another account and the rules for buyers in Brazil and Australia.
  • For a pass that came with Visionary, the Operator Pass terms apply only once you turn it on, and we'll let you know about that by email.
  • Section 5 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that if Fluxer Platform AB or the official Fluxer service is ever sold or transferred to someone else, the new owner must take over every existing pass on these same terms.
  • Section 7.1 of the draft Operator Pass terms says that the record we keep of your consent at checkout also includes your browser details.
  • We published the Operator Pass privacy notice as its own page. It adds to the privacy policy for people who join the Operator Pass waitlist, appear on the Operators' wall or are listed in the yearly Operators list we publish, and section 2.4 of the privacy policy links to it. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2 of the Operator Pass privacy notice describes the waitlist, including what we keep when you join, that joining rests on your consent, the emails we send you and how unsubscribing works. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 2 also says what we keep when you answer the questions after joining the waitlist. We keep which descriptions of yourself you pick, which of the things that come with the pass you pick as most important to you and anything you write in your own words, and we delete them together with the rest of your waitlist entry whenever that entry is deleted. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 3 of the Operator Pass privacy notice describes what we publish on the Operators' wall and the copies of names and avatars we keep for it with their history. It also gives the legal grounds for each. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 3 of the Operator Pass privacy notice also says that the wall shows your username and the default avatar until we approve the name and avatar you chose, and describes the yearly Operators list in a release and in the source code, including what happens if you ask us to erase your name. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 3 also says that your name goes on a yearly Operators list only if you are listed on the wall and turn on "Add my name to the yearly Operators list" in your account settings, which is off by default, and that the legal ground for putting your name on the list is your consent. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4 of the Operator Pass privacy notice says how long we keep waitlist entries and the name and avatar copies for the wall. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • We published the Fluxer Feedback privacy notice as its own page. It adds to the privacy policy for people who use Fluxer Feedback or whose posts on GitHub or reports to our old bug report bot were copied there, and section 2.5 of the privacy policy links to it. Sections 7.3, 7.4 and 12 of the privacy policy and the company information page link to it too. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Our security policy says that repro bounties on Fluxer Feedback are XP points for ordinary bugs, with no monetary value. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • The company information page says that consumers can take an unresolved complaint about the Operator Pass to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes and that we take part in its proceedings. It also lists the Operator Pass terms and privacy notice among our legal documents, and the Operator Pass as one of the ways fluxer.com is funded. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • Section 4.2 of the privacy policy describes our service providers by the kind of service they provide, with a few examples. Effective October 24, 2026.
  • We also reworded parts of the terms, the privacy policy, the community guidelines, the push relay notice, the Operator Pass privacy notice, the company information page, our security policy, our stance on AI, the draft Operator Pass terms and the help articles on copyright and data retention to make them easier to read and understand. Nothing else changed in substance. Effective October 24, 2026.

October 5, 2026

We rewrote the policies in plainer language, put each topic in one place and made them match what we already do. The changes include our end-to-end encryption plans, which our roadmap now describes, deleted communities and channels, phone verification, security records, generative AI, advertising and legal requests. None of them reduced your rights or changed how we collect, use or share your data.

October 2, 2026

The privacy policy says that we never ask for or accept ID documents, selfies or biometric scans to check anyone's age, not even for an age appeal.

September 30, 2026

September 29, 2026

We removed Bunny.net from the privacy policy's provider list because it no longer delivers your files or processes any personal data on our behalf.

August 12, 2026

We rewrote our policies to be shorter and easier to read, without reducing any commitment, adding a new use of your data or changing how long we keep it.

April 25, 2026

The privacy policy explains that phone verification only checks suspicious sign-ups and that the number is never linked to your account or user ID. SMS two-factor authentication isn't available for accounts created on or after April 25, 2026.

April 18, 2026

We updated the privacy policy to match our current providers, hosting, retention periods and content safety practices, and removed providers that no longer process personal data. None of it added a new use of your data or sent new data out of Fluxer.

April 2, 2026

The terms say that Fluxer must not be relied on for military, emergency response, healthcare or other safety-critical use, or for critical infrastructure.
